The association recognizes the need for an effective policy and strategic plans to ensure that the allotment field is accessible for all users and potential applicants from the community.
It is our intention to optimise support for all abilities and provide flexible adaptations where there may be barriers for those with mobility, sensory or mental health impairments. A range of opportunities will be planned over an appropriate timescale to ensure that the allotments are accessible to all age groups, those with children and members who have medical conditions and long-term disabilities. We believe that creative and flexible arrangements to meet the needs of all our members will enhance the allotment facilities for everyone in the community especially future gardeners.
